So, the format I will be using in all my blogs and pages will be modeled after a bullet journal.
This makes the content easier and faster for you to read
Keeps me organized for my goals
You will notice that you can click on blogs which takes you to the blog page.
The blog page serves as my home page for the website and has 4 sections:
Screenwriting for Comics: This series will cover writing and selling a comic book. I will be using Save the Cat and The Complete Self-Publishing Guide to Comics to produce a comic book from scratch.
My Nerdy Life: In this blog I will journal my goals for the night and what I acomplished. This will also cover my transition into producing animation and short film scripts. May crossover with Screenwriting for Comics.
Newsletter: This is published on Wednesday and covers updates to my TJ Comics line.
Sports: There is more to me than wanting to be a screenwriter. I love sports and when I get the chance I write about them!

Favor of Athena Episode 4 Sneek Peek
Black Kats Sneek Peek
Tonight I start my Mentor Monday: I will reach out to comic writers who are living successfully as indy artist. Three of whom have already helped me through critique and motivation(David Lillie writer/creator Dreamkeepers), Greg Burnham (writer/co-creator of Tuskegee Heirs), and Adam Withers & Comfort Love (Rainbow in the Dark).
Overall: Moves Favor of Athena graphic novel forward. Develop Black Cats (children novel, cartoon, comic), and helping prepare the Angel Protocol graphic novel.
I remember watching A Different World growing up. I always loved Freddie Brooks and most of the episodes have stuck with me. Especially Whitley’s wedding being crashed by Dwayne.
However, I don’t recall seeing the episode before the crashing. Inquisitive, I decided to look for it and came across a scene that was so powerful in how comedy and drama can tell a whole story in a scene.
A Different World had more episodes that tackle serious issues, which now, as an adult, I fully appreciate the writing that went into those stories that entertained me.
Here is my rough draft of writing the scene when Dwayne comes to Whitley’s house the night before the wedding.
